Is it bad that I don't remember Reese this little?? :(

First Time

Yesterday was an AWESOME day!! Reese was able to grab a hold of her rattle and play with it for the first time and she laughed for the first time. Almost brought tears to my eyes. I was so excited to hear her sweet little laugh. She loves it when I swing her back and forth in my arms, that's the only thing that makes her really laugh right now. I was so proud too see her grab her rattle, she needs a little help still, but once she has a hold she will rattle it! I absolutely LOVE being a mommy, it brings me such joy. I was thinking the other day I don't think we can even begin to realize how much God loves us until we have children of our own. I know how much I love Reese but God loves her and us more than anyone ever will. When I read the book The Shack there was a line in there that has stuck with me.....God loves each person as if they were the only one. I take great comfort in that. I Thank God for choosing us to be Reese's parents but ultimately they are not our children they are God's children.

Monday Fun Day

 Reese and I went to have lunch with Janelle and Teresa (miss those girls) at McCallisters, yummo!! Of coarse as soon as I was about to eat Reese decided she wanted to eat as well. Oh what perfect timing she always seems to have and I'm figuring out how to eat and feed her at the same time. Anywhoo, we went to the mall to try and find her a 4th of July outfit -no luck- come to find out Christina made her an AWESOME red and blue tutu! Can't wait to dress her up in that! We picked up Lillian and Kerrington and went swimming! They are the two funniest little girls I know, some of the things they say........Lillian: "Horseys go potty behind their tail right???" "I can't put eyeshadow on because it will get in my eye right?"  When I was changing Reese's poopy diaper both of them were saying "stinky stinky" but kept putting their noses to the diaper smelling it. Lillian told me that her friend Charleigh's house got blowed away and broke down by the tornado in Joplin (really it was her uncle's house) then Kerrington said in the sweetest softest voice "I'm so sorry about that".  I had made them scrambled eggs for breakfast which neither of them said they had before and Katy told me later on  Lillian said they ate baked eggs. Boy was I exhausted after having 3 small children, they were both up before Reese! What great girls they are though, I love them both so much.

Father's Day

What a great day it has been. Not only do we get to honor our dads, husbands, grandpas, sons etc, we also get to honor our Heavenly Father. Earthly fathers will let us down but our Heavenly Father will never let us down. I take peace and comfort in that and my what an awesome God we serve! After and awesome church service this morning, we came home, I made lunch ( I asked Garrett if he would like me to make anything special and all he said was mashed taters and gravy) so I made that and bbq chicken. We watched True Grit then he took a nap then it was off to church again. Preacher was gone so we had a movie night and watched Fireproof. Great movie! I highly recommend that ALL married couples watch this movie!

A day full of great things...great shopping, great food, great friends and great grandparents!

Reese and I drove up to Lebanon on Saturday to see my my grandparents (her great grandparents). Garrett went roping and as much as I would have loved to go watch him, it was just way to hot for Reese to be out there.The 3 of us went shopping and papa stayed at home. Mama Bel loved showing Reese off to everyone at the store. She is definitly a proud great granny. Then we picked up my papa and went and ate yummy Italian food. Of coarse we could not go home without going to see Katy and her girls. They absolutely love Reese, Lillian and Kerrington want mommy to have a baby just like Reese and even name her Reese.
