Weekend at Meme and Poppy's

The kids and I went to Oklahoma last weekend for KC graduation. We had a fun time. We don't get to see them a whole lot so it took a little bit for her to warm up to them. Once she did she had a great time. She loved riding the go cart.  So did mommy. :) She made buddies with Luke, she did not want to say bye to him. KC graduation was Friday night and it was in the gym with no air conditioning. I had to take Jaxon's shorts off and took him outside where it was actually cooler. We didn't get to eat supper until 9:00 and got to bed at 10. With all that Reese did so well. We had to sleep together and she took up the whole bed! I thought she may sleep in but no. She was up with me when I was feeding Jax at 4:40am and didn't wanna go back to sleep! It was frustrating because I was so tired.

Mother's Day 2013

I had a fantastic Mother's Day this year. I am beyond blessed to be a mother of two awesome children. I thank God everyday for choosing me to be Reese and Jaxon's mommy. I feel so honored that He specifically chose me to take care of them.

We had Jaxon's baby dedication on Mothers Day as well. I remember a couple years ago on Mothers Day, preacher said that these children are not ours. They are God's and he gives them on loan to us. We are to be tools in their life to raise them in God's love, to teach them about Him, and we are to give them back to Him. I also went to the altar that day and prayed for Him to bless us with a baby. That July He did. We dedicated Reese the following Mothers Day, and I was so glad we got to dedicate Jax on Mothers Day this year. I pray everyday they will grow up and have a heart full of love for The Lord and that Garrett and I can be the best role models for them, showing them Gods love.

I can't believe how fast time flies with two kids!! Jax is already 8 weeks old! And wearing size 3 month clothes. He has smiled and cooed a few times. I started putting him in his crib s couple nights ago and he has done very well. He still eats about every 3 hours at night. I'm looking forward to the day he sleeps all night!!

Reese has been saying more words and the other day she was singing "Deep and Wide" she has been doing so well in her Sunday school class learning the songs. It gives me such joy hearing her sing songs about Jesus. She has also started telling Garrett and I "I love you" all on her own. There is nothing no sweeter sound than hearing your child tell you that they love you.

I have been coming to terms with the fact that my house won't always be clean, in fact it's messy most of the time. I'm either to tired or don't have the time or I just don't feel like it. Which is the case most of the time.

Fun Day at the Zoo

Kristin and I took the girls to the zoo the other day and we had a blast!! Reese had an awesome time. I let her walk around herself and she loved that. It was hard trying to get her to keep up because she was in awe of everything. I think her favorite part was feeding the goats and riding the train. We saw so many peacocks and at one point she was chasing one around. I can't wait to take her back. It was a whopping 80 degrees when we went a day ago and as I wright this blog it is 34 degrees and SNOWING!!!!

Can you tell she was super excited to be at the zoo.

she was actually laughing

she was fascinated by the caterpillars

Train ride.....I caught Kristin taking a picture of her and Kapri in the background

they were so tired and cranky by this point they were picking on each other. Ha!
