Thankful for Day 13-15/ Bye Bye

I am Thankful to have the most wonderful church family. They are truly like our extended family. Sunday night church is the best. We all get together and have a bible study then have fellowship. We always have such a great time. The people are very accepting to anyone, no matter their past. Tracy, the preachers wife, she is a great role model for me. I hope to be the Godly woman she is one day.

It has officially started. Now that she has started army crawling, she is into everything! It's fun to watch her explore the house. She loves making her way to the sliding glass door in the kitchen and staring out the window. Yesterday I went to put on a load of laundry and came back into the living room and Reese was not in there. I was calm at first, then when I couldn't find her I started to panic a little bit, but I knew she was around somewhere. She was behind the couch! I was just glad she wasn't hurt. The other day I was doing some dishes and she was sitting in the kitchen. Trying to get from her bottom to belly (which she can do pretty well) she fell plum over and hit her face on the floor and busted her lip. I know it's the first of many but I sure felt bad. Her new word is ba ba. In translation is bye bye. She even waves her arm when she says it. I love watching her learn new things, it makes me feel proud and I am very proud to be her mommy.

And there she is again later that evening...........

Thankful for Day 12

I am Thankful for my grandparents. I spent the day with them today and my grandma took me shopping. I intended to go up there and shop with my own money but instead she ended up buying everything for me. They have always been there for me and I love them dearly. My fondest memory of them is when my brother and I would go stay a week with them during the summer. We had so much fun. I remember telling them that we would never be to old to keep staying weeks with them but sadly we did. I am very blessed to be so close to them. My grandma is my pray warrior. I can call her with anything and I know she will pray everyday until that prayer is answered. I wish I could be more like her. Oh and she is the BEST cook ever!

Thankful for Day # 9 & 10

I am Thankful to have a husband who works so hard so that I am able to stay home with our daughter. I don't think I tell him enough how much I appreciate it, but I do. We are both only 24 yrs old and yet we have our dream jobs. For as long as I can remember I have always just wanted to be a housewife and a stay at home mommy. Being a mom is the most rewarding job I have ever had. I just pray that I can be the wife and the mother that God wants me to be.

Thankful for Day #8

I am Thankful to have such a beautiful and HEALTHY  baby girl. Reese is a precious gift from God and she brings me such joy. Garrett and I are so blessed that God chose us to be Reese's parents, and I am honored to be raising on of His children. I pray that one day she will love the Lord with all her heart. I can't wait to tell her one day how Jesus took such good care of her when she was in my tummy when I had my surgery.  I love you so much Reesey bear.

Thankful for Day #7

I am so Thankful to have such an awesome God who loves me no matter what. He  loves each and everyone of us so much He sent His own son to die for our sins so we can have eternal life. I never felt real love until I felt the love that Jesus has for me. Even though I may fail Him at times, He is always there with open arms. He is a God of love. When I was going through the most difficult time of my life, He was right there going through it with me. When I began to question why He had done this to me, I thought of Job. Satan went to God had wanted to cause all these bad things to happen to him to test his faith because satan was so sure he would be mad a God and turn his back on Him. I believe satan did the same with me, he thought I would be  mad at God for what happened to me. Complete opposite. I began to thank God for giving me the tumor because if what I had to go through could change at least one persons life to where they could see how much God loves us then I was ok with that. God gave me the strength I needed to get through it.

Scootin

Reese is soooo close to crawling. Yesterday she started scootin with her feet all across the living room. If she could only figure out how to use her hands she could take off. She is already into everything by rolling everywhere. She went for her 6 month check on Monday and weighs 16lbs and 26 3/4 inches long.  I bought her a sippy to play around with and become familiar with and she does great with it. I also got her some puffs and wagon wheel crackers and she does pretty well with them. I can't believe how big she is getting. She has been saying dada for a while now and has just started saying mama. Her favorite thing right now is to bounce. Whether it be in her bouncer or on your lap. I cannot believe in a few months we will be planning her 1st birthday party!!! Whenever she gets sleepy she sucks on her finger of coarse but she also starts playing with her hair in the back of her head, I just think its so cute. I feel so blessed to have such a great baby. I can only hope and pray the second baby is as easy as her.

One of my favorite pictures.......

Texas!!!

WOW! Its been a while since I have blogged, its been hard finding the time to. A few weeks ago Reese and I went to Texas with Pippo and Pappy to see Mary Beth, Alex and Maelea.  What a looong trip it was, Reese did very well though. About the last 20 minutes she had had enough of the car seat and was crying so hard she was gagging and I felt so bad I had to take her out and hold her the rest of the way. I know I know not a very good thing but it scared me when she was gagging like she was. Had to do the same thing on the way home also but overall it was a good trip. Garrett did not get to come because of work and I was so very sad. Vacation is just not the same without your spouse. We had fun though, I enjoyed watching Reese and Maelea play and going to garage sales. Mary Beth got out Maelea's jumperoo for Reese and I have never seen that child so excited. She bounced and bounced and bounced. She sure slept good that night.

Reese loved Maelea's phone so much, Pippo got Reese one of her own!! Thanks Pippo!

Maelea sharing her snack....

Reese's first bath like a big girl with Maelea

you can only imagine the laughs we had over this wig...
